| Q. |
How do these products compare in price with other similar
cleaning products? |
| A. |
1) Protect Carpet Cleaning offers some of, if not the lowest prices on the internet for similar products.
2) Most other companies only sell large volumes of products and therefore will cost you a lot more money to buy all the different kinds of products that Protect offers.
3) Many companies will not even sell to the public like
Protect does, they only sell to professional carpet cleaning
businesses so you have to pay them to come to your home
and clean your carpets. Which of course cost many times
more than what our products cost. |

| Q. |
Can you use these products to clean other surfaces like;
tile, marble, wood, etc…? |
| A. |
No. Unlike other products that claim to clean anything,
Protect Carpet Cleaning products are specifically designed
and formulated to clean carpets and upholstery only. However,
most other cleaners that are used to clean multiple surfaces
will leave residues in carpets that will only cause future
problems, and we strongly recommend that you never use
an "All Purpose" cleaner on your carpets or
upholstery. |

| Q. |
Why are soaps and shampoos
so bad for carpets, we use them to clean everything else. |
| A. |
1) Everything else that we clean like; tile, cloths, dishes, floors, counters, etc...are cleaned on a daily or weekly basis and doesn’t build up dirt like carpets do. Most people only clean their carpets once a year.
2) Carpet is an extremely absorbent material and therefore makes it very hard to completely rinse away all the soap or shampoo that is used while cleaning them.
3) Soaps and Shampoos are made from petroleum surfactants,
which come from breaking down fatty acids, glycerol, or
oil based by products. These oily products when left in
your carpet actually attract and hold dirt, soil, and
other oils into your carpets making them get dirtier faster
then ever before. |

| Q. |
What is the best method for cleaning carpets. |
| A. |
The 2 main type of carpet
cleaning methods that we recommend are hot water extraction
and bonnet cleaning. Both processes are effective if preformed
properly and the correct cleaning agent is used. Protect
Carpet Cleaning products can be used for either method.
Again using a soap based product will make either method
less effective and cause residue problems in the future.
We provide cleaning instructions for both methods with
every order. |

|
| Q. |
How often should you clean your carpets. |
| A. |
The obvious answer to that question is whenever they
are dirty. However, some carpets may not look dirty be
cause of light use. We recommend that to maintain the
life and look of your carpet that you clean them at least
once a year. However, if your carpets need to be cleaned
more often than that due to heavy traffic, spots or other
spills then clean them as needed. |

|
| Q. |
I was told once you clean your carpets they are never
the same, or you then have to clean them more often. |
| A. |
That is an old myth we have heard hundreds of times.
However there is some truth to that statement. Many people
who use a soap or shampoo
based cleaner may notice that there carpets get dirtier
faster once they clean them. That again is due to the
fact that the soap residue that is left behind from these
types of cleaners attract dirt to the carpet and therefore
the carpet does need to be cleaned more often to maintain
its clean look. Using our products, you never have to
worry about soapy residues, and therefore your carpets
will not re-soil after the first cleaning. |

| Q. |
Can I really get my carpets as clean doing them myself
verses using a professional |
| A. |
A professional will obviously have more experience and
more powerful equipment than you will, however, carpet
cleaning is not rocket science. Using a good machine,
the right cleaning products, and a little extra work you
can have beautifully clean carpets that look as good as
a professionals. Especially if you get an inexperienced
or sloppy technician, your own cleaning will turn out
even better than theirs. |
